MEET ANN

Ann was born and raised right here in Hollywood, Florida. She was very creative as a young child, and loved drawing and dancing. She credits her creative side to her father, who was a print and metal shop teacher, and was always doing little art projects with her.

Ann is a graduate of the University of Florida, and while enrolled at UF, she spent a summer studying abroad in Rome, Italy. Throughout that summer she traveled across Europe, and it was here that her passion for photography began. She started out with a point and shoot 35mm camera on her study abroad, and gradually developed her skills and upgraded equipment, as she continued to travel across the world. So far, her travels have taken her to 21 countries spanning 5 continents, with a few favorites on repeat. While it is fair to say that her love for travel inspires her photography, she also often uses the local beauty of South Florida as her subjects.

When Ann is not behind her camera, she is traveling to hospitals for her job in medical sales. In her free time she can be found walking around town with her 16 year old mini dachshund Simon, trying out new restaurants with her husband Matt, and cheering on the sidelines at her nephews’ football games.

The current exhibit showcases some of her favorite landscapes shot here in the US, with two feature photos from Africa.
