This is an owner-operated and family-owned establishment. We enjoyed very friendly, wonderful service, the proprietors are happy to walk you through the menu making suggestions. Both the front staff and chef own the restaurant. The decor is all recycled and artsy. The food is simple yet creative and delicious with enough variety to satisfy all tastes. I got the mac & cheese balls and the pork stuffed mushrooms for appetizers, a steak skewer with portobello mushrooms (which was quite savory& flavorful); my wife had the chicken and bell pepper skewers with a thai-influenced peanut sauce. For dessert the sampler (3 ea. of bread pudding bites with white chocolate raspberry sauce, pumpkin bites with spiced orange drizzle, mochi bites with cinnamon caramel sauce, and poundcake bites with limeade glaze). I also had a small taste of the mulligatawny soup which had a nice curry flavor. None of the food was heavy but it was definitely filling. They also had an impressive coffee menu- espressos, cappuccinos, risetto. I settled on a delicious cappuccino and I learned it comes from a local roaster.

MEET HEATHER

"I believe my art connects with people who are on a spiritual, mental, or healing journey."
My art is my breath. My soul. Painting with honesty and authenticity. I believe my art connects with people who are on a spiritual, mental, or healing journey because my willingness to be brave gives permission to feel the feelings. My approach is intuitive, unique, and most often has a story, message, and/or symbolism that expresses itself with my amazing use of color, collage, and/or words. My works are different abstract expressions using many forms of acrylic mediums. I may also add mixed media elements such as various papers, my favorite being vintage ephemera, found objects, and textural mediums.

The constant battling of my inner critical voice and getting out of my head allows the energy and stories to emerge. It's all about the journey and the process, thoughts and feelings. Viewers are drawn into my work by a force of which they are not always aware . My willingness to be vulnerable while painting infuses an energy that invites you to stay. My work creates a narrative that not only bears my soul, but invites you to seek yours as well.
