Exceptional! This small restaurant perfectly encapsulates everything great about the city of Hollywood. The Artistic theme that is almost entirely decorated with work from local artists even down to the tabletops. The friendly atmosphere, Gina is amazing! And last but certainly not least, the food is simply Incredible! The amount of options, flavor, and value you get while dining here is second-to-none in this downtown area. This location is really a Gem💎, I highly encourage anyone that is ever in Hollywood to give Drastix a try. You will not regret it!

MEET PAYAMI

"All the detail, the combination of the color with the texture it’s energy. It's explosive and it lives in me until I get it out on canvas."
The multifaceted Dominican was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on December 18,1967. Payami was enamored by the beauty of nature and drawn to painting and the arts. It was there he cultivated what God bestowed upon him- a beautiful gift bequeathed to his parents, relatives, friends and acquaintances: the portrayal on canvas of the innumerable colors that adorn the diversities of life.

Traveling from his native Santo Domingo To New York City, without ado joined the masses of labor force production, acquiring diverse vocations; the rite of passage though that great city only heightening his worth. As such it was in 2009, when in the month of October, and following the completion of several canvas paintings, Payami participates in stunning exposition in a very exclusive milieu on Brickell Avenue, Miami, Florida host to many internationally renowned artists, world famous curators a to a large and select audience, which carefully and passionately admired the embodied paintings of Payami.

Following these experiences Payami has walked a path lined with successes and exhibitions in venues such as Art Basel Miami 2012, Coconut Grove Art festival, Ana G Mendez University, And The Dominican Republic Independence Festival, in Alce Art Studio 2012,2013, in Cuba 8 2013, Agora Gallery New York 2014, Cultural Souls Miami Fl 2014,in Wynwood Warehouse Proyect 2014, All Art Framing & Gallery Miami Lakes 2015, Spectrum Art Basel 2016,2017, Holdings On, Art gallery in Unilatina International Collegue in Miramar Fl 2018.He also participated in Inspire Miami Art show in Miami Design District 2019.As well participated in Crypto Art Edition in the Penthouse Riverside Miami fl 2021 Art Basel and in Hybrid Art Edition 2022 in Miami River Art Basel. He worked with the most accurate and popular Nina Torres Fine Arts. Nina Torres have been his muse in the world of arts.

To those who do not love the arts, the arts capture emotions, sadness, happiness, charm, living alongside nature, knowing the environment; the art of Payami says it all. Payami The abstract expressionist acrylic and colored pencil paintings of Dominican Republic artist Payami (Miguel Payano) are living canvases, full of energy and movement, and replete with human emotion. In his artistic process, Payami uses a spatula, brush, and other implements to lay the paint thickly onto the canvas, resulting in multi-dimensional and highly textured images, where broad swaths of color are juxtaposed with fine lines and often delicate forms. A hallmark of Payami’s work is his use of color which is inspired by his home in Dominican Republic: colors that are tropical and breathing, with lots of life and plenty of inertia. Central to Payami’s work is the texture he creates on the canvas, providing depth which in turn imparts much of the emotionality and meaning contained within each image. As he explains, "I need the texture because it represents me—it empowers me. All the detail, the combination of the color with the texture it’s energy. It's explosive and it lives in me until I get it out on canvas."
